Loaded with tons of intricate details, "Thar Be Pirates!" is one of the most elaborate pirate ship tree houses we have ever built! This breathtaking structure measures 36' x 39' and was comprised of two custom playhouses, two oversized logs, a bow, a stern, and a captain‘s lookout tower. The charming 6' x 6' Victorian style playhouse features stained glass windows, portholes, a crow‘s nest, electricity, redwood inlaid floor, insulation, and tons of unique Victorian style details. The larger clubhouse connected to the stern measures 10' x 10' and features thatch roofing, electricity, porthole, redwood inlaid floor, and insulation as well.
The stern section was absolutely amazing and was adorned with hand carved scrolls, stained glass windows, a ship's wheel, a real ship's bell, lanterns, and several other pirate themed decorations. Supporting the stern was a giant 12' diameter old growth redwood log which doubled as a treasure room filled with all sorts of booty, Spanish armor, and a secret hidden safe.
To complete the scene we added over 12 redwood carvings including a pirate captain, a brut pirate, a mermaid, several animals, a few pelicans, and even a seagull which was rigged on a line to fly back and forth over this amazing pirate tree house.
